At Hickory Senior Living, you’ll find a cozy, Southern community that offers physical support and a welcoming and active environment for your loved one.

About the Community

Rosewood is conveniently located in the heart of Tupelo, MS, where medical services, shopping and restaurants are just minutes away. Rosewood features a peaceful and secure environment perfect for enjoying a walk around our beautifully landscaped grounds or relaxing in one of our many rocking chairs on our large covered porches by our peaceful fountain.

Rosewood offers a variety of spacious and inviting floor plans to make it easy to find a place that works best for you or your loved one. Residents are encouraged to decorate residents’ rooms with their own furniture and décor to create that personal touch of home. We can even accommodate your pet if you so desire!

Rosewood Tupelo offers private and semi-private rooms as well as is licensed by Medicaid to allow certain residences who qualify to be reimbursed for part of their rent. Rosewood’s primary focus is on the health and happiness of each resident while addressing the concerns of family members.

Services & Amenities

Assisted Living

Our assisted living communities provide our residents with assistance with activities of daily living (ADL’s). Activities of daily living include but are not limited to, assistance with bathing, dressing, housekeeping, medication assistance, meals and laundry services. Our compassionate staff members are trained to serve and ensure your loved ones receive the care they deserve in this important stage in their lives.

Individual care plans allow our communities to customize a plan to meet each of the specific needs of our residents. Some residents require little or no assistance with certain ADL’s but may require full assistance with others. In addition, these needs most likely will change over time as folks grow older. Assisted living is the perfect balance – the independence you want and the care you need.

Peace of mind comes knowing that your loved one is in good hands with Hickory’s considerate and caring staff to assist them with all of their personal needs around the clock.

Benefits & Amenities

Salon Services
Residents can enjoy an on-site private beauty salon and licensed beautician to look and feel their best. Our ladies can have their hair “done” and men can get a fresh cut or shave. A full list of services is available upon request and services provided from the salon are at an additional charge.

Safety First
The safety and well-being of our residents is our number one priority.

  • Abundant walking space
  • Hand rails, grab bars,  and smoke alarms
  • Closely monitored emergency call lights
  • Attentive resident assistants

Although we have an open door policy, all visitors are required to check-in and doors are locked for security after hours. A secure and safe environment is not just another priority, it is our top priority.

Housekeeping
In the South, the order and cleanliness of home has long been a source of pride for seniors. We are honored to provide a clean and organized space for our residents to enjoy. Some of the house-keeping and services we provide for each resident include:

  • Cleaning, dusting, and mopping rooms and bathrooms
  • Washing, drying and folding laundry
  • Bed linens are changed weekly (or as needed)
  • Emptying trash
  • Cleaning spills
  • Cleaning or wiping down windows and fixtures as needed
  • Assistance if they want to clean their own room

Meet Our Team

Jennifer Lewis, of Mantachie MS, began her career at Hickory Senior Living in May of 2016 at Dogwood Fulton as a Resident Assistant. She transferred to Magnolia Manor Tupelo in 2022 as the Assistant Activity Director, and then took over as the Resident Service Director at the beginning of 2023. In August 2023, she transferred Rosewood Tupelo, as their new Executive Director!

She is married to her husband, Richard Lewis and has one son, Matthew Lewis. She went to MSU where she got her Bachelor of Science degree, with a concentration in Secondary Education. She taught high school for a year in 2008 and realized that it wasn’t what she wanted her career to be. When she started as a Resident Assistant, she realized that’s what she wanted to do. She wanted a career that would allow her to help and ease the burden of daily living for people that need it!
