Activities at Magnolia Tupelo are coordinated by a full-time activity director. These activities are designed to provide residents a lot of fun and enjoyment. Magnolia Tupelo creates activities specially designed to motivate, stimulate and enhance their independence and quality of life while engaging both to participate.
However, when planning activities, we do keep in mind that some of those that are the most fun can also be very beneficial in terms of mind stimulation, emotional enrichment, and social interaction with others. Arts & crafts, board games, singing groups and a resident favorite, Bingo, are just a few of the many daily activities to keep folks entertained at Magnolia Tupelo. Events and activities are posted on a calendar to allow residents to choose which events they wish to participate in and then plan accordingly.
Most residents at Magnolia Tupelo have been lifelong church goers and we think it is important for their well-being to continue after moving in. Magnolia Tupelo works with area churches to have on-site church services each week. The services last about an hour and usually consist of singing, Bible readings, and a sermon. Although we don’t provide transportation to local church services, if a resident wishes to attend a church that provides pickup and drop-off services we are happy to assist the resident coordinating logistics.
Numerous studies have proven that senior adults who stay active and interact with others are happier, healthier and more content. That’s why at Magnolia Tupelo we not only encourage residents to participate in activities, but provide a wide variety so there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
