Angela McMahan joined the Hickory Team in May of 2007. She was born and raised in Iuka, MS. She began to work at Tishomingo Manor at the age of 16 years. When she graduated high school, she immediately went to work in the Sewing Factory and Shoe Factory. She was a stay at home mother for a while as well. She felt the need to go back to school and enroll in a healthcare field when her children were of age for her to enroll. She graduated North East with an Associate Degree. She began to work with Tishomingo Manor once again and enrolled in their CNA Program. After completion, she worked there for five years before coming to Southern Magnolia Iuka. Angela has worked in many positions at Southern Magnolia, Activities, Cook, Aide and Administrator’s Assistant. Through her many years of hard work and dedication to serve the elderly, we believe Angela is the best suitable for the Executive Director at Southern Magnolia Iuka. Angela has always known her calling in life was to serve the elderly. There was an elderly women from her your childhood that was a major influence on her decision in healthcare. The elderly women loved to have Angela over to talk and listen while she served her Kool aide and cookies. She would show her pictures from her past and that is when Angela knew, she wanted to be a part of others’ lives and help them feel their purpose in life and to be loved dearly.
In her spare time, she enjoys time spent with family the most. She is married to Billy McMahan and they have four children, three girls and one boy and four grandchildren. She enjoys loving on her furr babies, one rabbit and eight dogs. She is a member of Mission Lighthouse Church in Iuka, MS.
