At Hickory Senior Living, you’ll find a cozy, Southern community that offers physical support and a welcoming and active environment for your loved one.

About the Community

Here at Magnolia Tupelo, we know that senior living isn’t one-size-fits-all. Each senior who comes to us may be in a similar time of life; however, every person’s situation is unique, which is why we offer a variety of options in our senior care levels. For those with higher levels of need for care we offer both assisted living and memory care.

In our assisted living facility we still promote independence, while providing more assistance with medicine administration and monitoring, help dressing and getting out of bed if necessary, and more. Our memory care program helps stimulate the body and mind of your loved one in a time when they need more assistance.

Minutes from downtown Tupelo, Magnolia Tupelo is located in a beautiful country setting surrounded by a forest of oaks and tall swaying pines. With private and semi-private studios and deluxe suites, Magnolia Tupelo offers a pleasing variety of living arrangements for any senior who wants to live independently but needs some assistance.

To offer the finest in memory care services, and delay the need for a nursing home, Magnolia Tupelo also has a dedicated 27 unit wing known as Harmony Place. It has a trained staff and is specifically equipped to offer the finest in memory care services. Most residents and families say the decision of going from independent living to assisted living isn’t an easy one, but one they’ve found surprisingly pleasing at Magnolia’s Tupelo senior living community.

Services & Amenities

Assisted Living

Magnolia Tupelo is an assisted living community that provides our residents with assistance with activities of daily living (ADL’s). Activities of daily living include, but are not limited to, assistance with bathing, dressing, housekeeping, medication assistance, and laundry services. Our compassionate staff members are trained to serve and ensure your loved ones receive the care they deserve in this important stage in their lives.

Our individual care plans allow Magnolia to customize a plan to meet each of the specific needs of our residents. Some residents require little or no assistance with certain ADL’s but may require full assistance with others. In addition, these needs most likely will change over time as folks grow older. Our all-inclusive rates allow families to not worry about additional costs fluctuating daily based on the care the resident needs.

Special Care Wing

At Magnolia Tupelo we recognize the needs of our residents with memory loss and are passionate about helping each resident age gracefully.

The staff at our memory & dementia care in Tupelo, MS has been specially trained to meet the unique needs of residents with dementia and also the special needs of family members dealing with this disease. When looking for individuals to fill this position, we look for people who prove to have a nurturing servant’s heart and loving spirit.

Our “person centered” approach to caring for residents in our care allows us to provide a level of care that is only matched by the care of a close friend or family member. This approach requires us to enlist the help of the residents’ family member or care giver.

From day one, family members or responsible parties are encouraged to participate in care plans, dietary needs and care practices specifically designed for individuals living with dementia and other related memory loss conditions. These advanced services afford most residents the ability to stay in an assisted living environment and avoid a skilled care nursing home environment for a longer period of time.

Heather was born and raised in Amory, MS. She attended Amory High School and ICC where she majored in Broadcasting Communications. Heather has worked in healthcare for over 15 years.

Heather remembers a very special time in her life when she found her desire to help the elderly. She was a young girl when she and her twin brother would visit Lee Manor with her Aunt on Sundays. There was always this lonely man sitting at the front door. Heather and her brother made it a point to share their Sundays with him when they visited the Lee Manor. They were everything he looked forward to on Sundays.

Heather took her younger life experiences and has applied them to her life. She has such a big heart for the elderly and loves to make them smile. There is someone at every facility that deserves love and attention and this is Heather’s daily drive for the residents within her care. She additionally knows the importance of elders staying active and social. She strives to bring them new and fun activities to keep them encouraged, happy and whole body fit. Heather is married to her husband, Brad Sartin. They have two daughters and are very active members at Lakeview Baptist Church in Tupelo, MS.
